Anderson Motivated For Return to Port Huron

The Port Huron Prowlers continue to return much of their team from last season as they announce Blake Anderson is re-signing for another year. Last season was his second as a pro and first as a Prowler.

Anderson set new career marks with 26 assists and 41 points as he appeared in 46 games during the regular season. Of his 15 goals, three came on the power play and three went down as game winners. The Peavine, Alberta native scored a pair of hat tricks including March 15 in Watertown where he notched six total points, one shy of the franchise single-game record. Anderson ended the season on IR and did not play in the playoffs.

“I’m more than excited to get back to Port and reunite with the team and fans,” Anderson said. “The way last season ended for me has given me motivation to come back stronger and bring success the Port Huron”

The 24-year-old joined the Prowlers from the Monroe Moccasins last summer as part of the Tucker Scantlebury trade. As a rookie in Monroe in 2024-25, Anderson put up 21 goals and 40 points in 55 games. In his final junior season in 2023-24, he led the GMHL with 51 goals, was named league MVP and won a championship with the Bradford Rattlers.

“Ando is an extremely dynamic player who has the ability to take over the game,” said Prowlers general manager Matt Graham. “When we lost him last year, it left a huge void in our lineup. I’m excited for him to be back, healthy, and build upon all of the hard work he put in last season and this summer.”
