Catching Up With Austin Fetterly and Dalton Jay

The Port Huron Prowlers are proud to announce the return of Austin Fetterly and Dalton Jay for the 2020-21 FPHL season. Jeremy Skiba had the chance to catch up with both players so fans can get to know them better and to find out what they did under quarantine.

Austin Fetterly:

Q: What have you been doing to stay active/busy during quarantine?

A: I’ve been playing a lot of golf with my friends and family along with coaching youth hockey.

Q: What are you looking forward to most about this upcoming season?

A: I’m definitely looking forward to getting back with the guys and making a run for the title this season.

Q: What is one area of your game you’d like to work on this season?

A: I think being strong in the defensive zone would help my game tremendously. Learning how to get better body positioning and winning little battles.

Q: What’s your favorite city to play in while on the road in the FPHL?

A: I really like to visit the southern cities. Winston-Salem and Columbus are both great cities with a good atmosphere even though Mentor hands down does have the best ice surface in the league.

Q: Where do you want to go on your next vacation?

A: I’d really like to go back to Colorado where I played juniors. The mountains and the modern cities were always a fun time.

Dalton Jay:

Q: What have you been doing to stay active/busy during quarantine?

A: I’ve been working, playing a lot of golf and roller hockey.

Q: What are you looking forward to most about this upcoming season?

A: Getting back with the guys so we can finish what we started.

Q: What is one area of your game you’d like to work on this season?

A: I think being more consistent on my game on offensive as well as defense.

Q: What’s your favorite city to play in while on the road in the FPHL?

A: I would have to say Watertown, the rink is small but they have a great fan base. It’s fun when you’re the road team and score there.

Q: Where do you want to go on your next vacation?

A: I’m going to say Mexico since I’m going there in a few weeks.
