Catching Up With Matt Stoia and Dalton Young

The Port Huron Prowlers are proud to announce the return of defensemen Matt Stoia and Dalton Young for the 2020-21 FPHL season. Jeremy Skiba had the chance to catch up with both players so fans can get to know them better and to find out what they’ve been up to since quarantine.

Matt Stoia:

Q: What have you been doing to stay active/busy during quarantine?

A: I have spent most of quarantine working and spending my time outdoors.

Q: What are you looking forward to most about the upcoming season?

A: I’m really looking forward to getting back on the ice and seeing all the guys again. We had a great team last year and we’re definitely looking to capture the cup this year.

Q: Where would you want to go on your next vacation?

A: I’ll say Florida. I really enjoy the warm weather.

Q: What is your favorite thing about playing hockey?

A: I love the atmosphere and energy it creates, when you’re on the ice your mind is free.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about the blue water area?

A: The best part about living in the Blue Water Area is having the Great Lakes in your backyard. I love spending time out on the water, relaxing and fishing.

Dalton Young: 

 Q: What have you been doing to stay active/busy during quarantine?

A: During quarantine I have been working, working out at home and playing as much hockey as possible.

Q: What are you looking forward to most about the upcoming season?

A: Playoffs. We know we can make it to the post season and this group has proved we’re contenders.

Q: Where would you want to go on your next vacation?

A: Definitely somewhere on the west coast that’s warm. One state in mind would be California.

Q: What is your favorite thing about playing hockey?

A: I love the road trips and hanging out with the guys.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about the blue water area?

A: I love winter time here. It brings a great vibe to the area.
