Port Huron, MI - The Danville Dashers skated to a 6-3 victory on Friday night, extending their win streak to three games. The hometown Prowlers came into the contest winners of their last two as well, but were unable to get going offensively.

Neither team was able to get much going in the first period, with the lone goal coming off the stick of Danville's Andrew Harrison, set up by defenseman Aleh Shypitsyn.

The second period would prove to be much different. After trailing, 2-0 early on, Port Huron's Dustin Jesseau was able to cut the lead in half with a nifty move to score unassisted. Danville quickly regained momentum and came away with three goals in the period, including one on the power play, that coming courtesy of forward Jimmy Soper. The goal was Soper's sixth of the season. After 40 minutes of play the Dashers lead by a score of 4-1.

Port Huron was able to cut into the Danville lead late in the third period with goals from Jesseau and Branden Parkhouse, but were halted as Jimmy Soper netted his second of the contest at 12:46. Soper was named the game's 1st Star for his two goals that helped lead his team to the 6-3 victory.

Port Huron will have a quick turnaround, as they face off at 7:30 PM on Saturday with the North Shore Knights.
