Matt Graham Sets the Tone On and Off the Ice

Port Huron Prowlers general manager Matt Graham has announced the team has come to terms with forward Matt Graham for the 2026-27 season. He will be in his 10th season playing for the Prowlers and sixth as the general manager and head coach.

“I’m very excited to get back to work with this group,” Graham said. “We have all worked to create something special here and it’s time.”

Last season, Graham eclipsed 50 points for the eighth time in his FPHL career as he put up 52 on 19 goals and 33 assists. He tied his career high with seven power-play goals and set a new career high with seven game winners. Graham became the second player in league history with 400 assists during the penultimate regular season contest. The Rancho Cucamonga, California native added a goal and an assist in six playoff games.

Besides sitting second on the FPHL’s all time assists list, Graham is third in league history with 583 points, three behind second-place Tyler Gjurich, and third in games played at 497. He can reach 500 at the Prowlers’ home opener on Oct. 23. The 13-year pro was the 2019-20 FPHL Forward of the Year and won a Slovenská hokejová liga title with HC Detva in 2015. He’s also played in the FPHL with the Danbury Titans and Watertown Privateers.

“Grahamer is the backbone of everything we do here in Port Huron,” said Prowlers associate head coach Chris Paulin. “It is because of his selflessness and extreme sacrifice that we’re heading into year 12 of Prowlers hockey.

“On the ice, there’s nothing Graham is unwilling to do for his teammates. He is one of the most prolific passers and scorers in the history of our league. His individual stats mean nothing to him. He cares only for the success of his teammates and he sets the tone for everything we do here.”

Coach Graham will lead the Prowlers onto McMorran Place ice on Oct. 23! Make sure your seats are locked in for that game and every other home game this season by visiting phprowlers.com/season-memberships.
