Port Huron, MI - The Port Huron Prowlers skated to a 5-4 victory on Friday night, finishing off the Danville Dashers, and pushing their win streak to a solid 3 games. The win, however, did not come easy, as Port Huron battled back to pick up the all important 3 points.

After 20 minutes of play the Dashers led 2-1 over the hometown Prowlers. Danville came out aggressively in the offensive zone, firing 15 shot on net, testing Port Huron goaltender Corey Simons early and often. The Prowlers lone goal came courtesy of forward Austin Daae, picking up his 14th point in just his 8th game on the season.

The Dashers would quickly add to their lead with a goal off the stick of Andrew Harrison, who went top shelf over the shoulder of Simons; that goal coming 52 seconds into the period. Port Huron got things going, scoring twice in the period; goals coming from Dalton Jay and Matt Graham. The score after two periods of play sat at 4-3 in favor of the Dashers.

The Prowlers would begin the comeback with a goal at 8:01 in the third from Daae, his second of the contest, and a goal that seemed to tip momentum in favor of Port Huron. Newcomer Corey Scott would notch the game winner for the streaking Prowlers at 13:11 which gave the Prowlers the lead that they would hold to win, 5-4.

The Prowlers will travel to New York on Saturday to take on the Watertown Wolves, as Port Huron will look to build on their 3 game winning streak. Puck drop is at 7:30 PM at the Watertown Municipal Arena.
