Prowlers Dominate, Win 13th Consecutive Game

By David Cesefske

Port Huron, MI - The Port Huron Prowlers continued their winning ways Saturday night, picking up their 13th win in a row with a 3-0 victory over the Cornwall Nationals. Port Huron was led by netminder Cory Simons who came away with the shutout, stopping 30 shots on the way to his 8th win overall on the season.

The first period was played evenly as both teams stood strong defensively, and would remain scoreless at the intermission.

The Prowlers would turn momentum to their side by scoring twice in the second period, with goals by Branden Parkhouse and Austin Daae. Parkhouse picked up the first goal on a giveaway in the Nationals zone, going glove side past goalie Sebastien Dube-Rochon.

Port Huron would later add an empty net goal off the stick of Daae, his second on the night, and that goal would seal the victory for the Prowlers.

The Prowlers will look to push their impressive streak to 14 at home next Friday, as they faceoff with the Carolina Thunderbirds. Puck drop is set for 7:30 PM EST.
