Prowlers Force Series-Deciding Game 3
With their backs against the wall, the Port Huron Prowlers scored four unanswered goals to take down the Blue Ridge Bobcats 5-1 and force a decisive Game 3 at McMorran Place. The winner of the series will advance to face the Binghamton Black Bears.
The crowd came alive early after Grayson Dietrich roofed a backhander on a Port Huron power play. Late in the period, Carson Gallagher turned home a rebound to tie it heading into the break.
Seconds into the middle period, the Bobcats got a power play and a chance to take the lead. But, Stephen Alvo bobbled the puck at the Prowler blue line, Reggie Millette took it the other way and gave Port Huron the lead with a shorthanded goal.
The Prowlers added more in the second. Matt Graham won a faceoff back to Arttu Heikkilä who fired it five-hole on Gregory Hussey. 2:08 later, Austin Fetterly cruised in alone and ended Hussey’s night with Port Huron’s fourth goal.
Bobby Price found Vincent Dekumbis to tack on a fifth in the third period.
Millette finished with a goal and an assist while Reid Cooper made 30 saves in the win.
Hussey took the loss after making 15 saves on 19 shots. Shrum 4-5 in relief.
