PROWLERS RE-SIGN DEFENSEMAN BRIAN WADSWORTH

The Prowlers announced today that they have re-signed Sylvania, Ohio native Brian Wadsworth. A rookie last season, the 25 year old defenseman started the season with the Danbury Titans before being acquired by the Prowlers (along with Martin Uhnak) in a trade for John Scully in January. In 20 games with the Prowlers Wadsworth had 1 goal and 5 assists, with an additional goal and 4 assists prior to the trade for a total of 16 points.

"There is just something special about playing in the hockey rich town of Port Huron. The people are undeniably generous, loud and most of all proud of their hockey. After the disappointing end of last season, the boys will be hungry to get back in the locker room and get the season started. This is a team built for a championship run and with a few new additions the expectations will be nothing short of a title. I'm excited to get back to McMorran Arena with the guys and prepare for opening night. This is going to be a great year for the Prowlers, management and of course the fans," said Wadsworth.
