Prowlers Re-Sign Elite Forward Ryan Alexander
The Port Huron Prowlers have their first returner of 2026 in forward Ryan Alexander. The Toronto, Ontario native was a collegiate signing out of NCAA DI Colorado College in March.
After joining Port Huron following his final college season, Alexander dished out six assists in five games down the stretch. In the playoffs, he found the back of the net three times, including the series-winning goal in the quarterfinals against the Blue Ridge Bobcats, and tied for the team lead with four assists and seven points.
“RA is undoubtedly the best all-around player in the league,” said Prowlers general manager Matt Graham. “His impact extends well beyond the ice, where he elevates the play of everyone around him. He brings that same influence to the locker room as a tremendous teammate and natural leader. I’m excited to watch him continue to develop and grow. Bringing him back was a top priority for us, and this move brings us one step closer to achieving our goal.”
The Toronto, Ontario native wrapped up his four year NCAA career with 15 points in 34 games for Colorado College before turning pro. He also played three years at Arizona State University and totaled 35 points in 93 games as a Sun Devil. Alexander played two years in the USHL and was ranked 161st by NHL Central Scouting ahead of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
“I was going to hang them up, but I have a soft spot for Port Huron,” Alexander said. “I want to see the smiles on the boys’ faces after a championship.”
Alexander and the Prowlers’ pursuit for the Commissioner’s Cup begins in October and season tickets to lock in your spot for all 28 home games are available now. Find them at phprowlers.com/season-memberships.
