Prowlers Re-Sign Forward Luke James

The Port Huron Prowlers have announced the return of forward Luke James for his third season with the club. The 28-year-old has played all but five of his pro games with the Prowlers over his three-year career.

“I’m very excited to have LJ back,” said Prowlers general manager Matt Graham. “He is a great teammate and a player who really came into his own last season. He’s a pest to play against and can play anywhere up and down the lineup.”

Last season, James appeared in 45 games for the second-straight season and put up 15 points on seven goals and eight assists. That includes a shootout winner in Watertown on March 14. He also added 87 penalty minutes.

The Moon Township, Pennsylvania native has appeared in 95 FPHL games and recorded 32 points. He started his career with the Elmira River Sharks in 2023-24 before signing with Port Huron the following summer. James split his NCAA DIII career between Becker College and Albertus Magnus College.

“It’s a blessing to get another opportunity with this organization and this city,” James said. “There is a reason I, as well as many other guys, was put in this position in Port Huron. We love the history and passion here. We love to be here and want to win here. I can’t wait to go to battle with everyone behind us again.”
