The Port Huron Prowlers and Motor City Rockers kick off their regular seasons with a pair of games at McMorran Place on Oct. 20 and 21. It will be the second year in a row the I-94 Rivals square off to open the schedule.

The Prowlers begin the regular season after dropping a 4-2 decision in their exhibition contest with Motor City. 10 players who dressed in that game are still with the team as of Thursday. Tristan Simm scored a power-play goal in that game and Makar Sokolov made 22 saves in 30:24 of work. The team also added Ian Wallace in net this week for his third stint as a Prowler. This will be Port Huron’s ninth FPHL season.

Prowlers - Dalton Jay (F) - Jay led the Prowlers with 33 goals and 68 points last season. He’ll need to keep the scoring up with the team’s other 30-goal scorer, Joe Deveny, retiring.

Rockers - Trevor Babin (G) - Babin went to the Kalamazoo Wings’ ECHL camp but was released this week. He was the backbone of Motor City last season and will be a major key to success this year.
