Veteran Defenseman Parsons Re-Signs

Port Huron Prowlers veteran defenseman Bryan Parsons will return for another year the club announced. The 33-year-old will enter his eighth FPHL season and ninth as a pro.

Last season, Parsons played in a career-high 54 games and reached 20 points for the second time while leading Port Huron defensemen at +26 and finishing second in the FPHL with 205 penalty minutes. His 17 assists and 20 points were his most since 2019-20 and two of his three goals were game winners. Parsons appeared in five playoff games with a +2 +/-.

The Shrewsbury, Massachusetts native eclipsed the 300-game and 100-point plateaus during 2025-26. He has dressed in all but 32 of his 309 career FPHL games and put up all but six of his 102 career points as a Prowler after beginning his pro career with the Watertown Wolves in 2018-19. Parsons played his college hockey at Becker College from 2013-17.

“Parsons is a huge addition to get back for this season,” said Prowlers assistant general manager Alex Johnson. “He’s a long tenured player and a fan favorite in Port Huron. He had a fantastic season last year for us. He's willing to stand up for his teammates and had some elite fights last season. He knows what it takes to be a Prowler and play Prowlers hockey. He is an integral part of the locker room and really pulls the group together. We’re excited to see what he brings for his 8th season as a Prowler.”
